Growing Regions: Corn  is native to Mexico. Today the largest producer of corn is the US followed by China, Brazil, Argentina, Ukraine, India, Mexico and Indonesia.

Variations: 

Uses: Corn is known as a staple food in a number of countries, especially Mexico. It is a primary ingredient in tortillas, tamales and enchiladas. Corn is popular in many cultures from polenta in Italy, angu in Brazil or mamaliga in Romania.
