Top cocoa bean producers in the world include Ivory Coast, Ghana, Indonesia, Nigeria, Cameroon and Brazil. Most of today’s cocoa bean production takes place in West Africa.

Variations: Natural 10-12%, Alkalised 10-12%, Alkalised 20-22%. Natural cocoa powder has am light brown coloured. The alkalized cocoa powder is darker in colour and has a higher pH. Alkalised cocoa powder is less bitter and is more soluble.

Uses: Cocoa powder can be used for chocolate flavoured drinks, in bakery and even cosmetics.
